NORTH CENTRAL EMS
In the Line of Duty
On November 7, 2000, Paramedic Jennifer LaFene made the ultimate sacrifice while attending to the safety of an elderly man on the side of the road. Jennifer was killed in the line of duty when a minivan struck her as she assisted the gentleman.

As an organization, the members of North Central EMS faced their most difficult moment with the loss of Paramedic Jennifer LaFene. During our time of mourning, we were embraced with both personal and professional support from many safety services, businesses, acquaintances and friends. This support helped comfort us, and the assistance provided permitted our entire organization to attend the funeral of our fallen comrade.

Just as Jennifer will not be forgotten, nor will the acts of kindness that were shown toward us during our time of need. From our hearts, we thank each of you for your assistance, cards, kind words and prayers.
