ACLS, PALS, NALS, BTLS, refresher courses and specialized training classes are offered to employees to assist them with maintaining their skills and certification levels. A Basic EMT program is also instructed at their training center.
Major medical and dental insurance is offered to all full-time and part -time employees. Life insurance equivalent to one year's wages is also offered to full-time employees at no cost.
After one year of employment, North Central EMS will match 50% of the amount the employee invests, up to 8% of their gross salary.
Upon each employee's annual anniversary, they will be eligible to receive a new uniform shirt and pants.
Employees are scheduled twenty-four hours on and forty-eight hours off. Twelve and eight -hour shifts are also worked.
If a full -time employee is scheduled and works on an observed holiday, they will receive eight hours of comp. time that they may use within thirty days of the actual holiday. Part-time employees who work on an observed holiday will receive time and a half for each hour worked.
