NORTH CENTRAL EMS
This is the most basic level of care administered during an emergency. As a basic EMT, you will render emergency care such as opening and maintaining an airway, giving positive ventilation, cardiac resuscitation, controlling of hemorrhage, treatment of shock, immobilization of fractures, bandaging, assisting in childbirth, management of mentally disturbed patients, and initial care of poison and burn patients.

Become a Member of the North Central EMS "MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM" by Calling 1-800-589-2515.
At this level of care, technicians will perform all emergency functions mentioned above with the addition of administering intravenous fluids.





Full-time Paramedics and EMTs work 24, 12 and 8 hour shifts with a registered nurse from St. Vincent & Medical College Critical Care Transport Network. Mobile Life units are stationed in Fremont and Bellevue.
This is the most advanced level of emergency care performed. In addition to the basic emergency care procedures, paramedics are trained in intubation and defibrillation methods, administering drug therapy and interpretation of EKG readings.
