North Central EMS is a non-profit organization, and is nationally known as one of the most diverse transportation services in North Central Ohio. We provide 911 emergency medical attention, and both emergency and non-emergency ambulance transportation, mobile intensive care transports, specialized care transports and wheelchair van operations. We have responded to the medical emergency needs of communities throughout North Central Ohio since 1986. Our operation began with two stations, three ambulances and twelve full-time paramedics/emergency medical technicians. An estimated 700 ambulance calls were performed in our first year of operation. This year, as we celebrate twenty years of dedicated service, we will respond to more than 20,000 calls. Over 160 employees will respond to 911 emergencies and non-emergency transport requests from ten geographically placed stations: Greenwich, Norwalk, Milan, Berlin Heights, Vermilion, Sandusky, Bellevue, Fremont, Port Clinton and Woodville.
